Position Description:

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Office Administrator undertakes a range of functions to make sure the administration activities within the company run smoothly.
Duties and responsibility  
·        Screening calls.
·        Managing calendars.
·        Making travel, meeting and event arrangements.
·        Preparing reports and financial data.
·        Training and supervising other support staff.
·        Customer relations.
·        Conduct orientation programs for new employees.
·        Maintain management information systems (manual or computerized).
·        Provide and maintain business premises and other facilities.
·        Review and answer correspondence.
·        Provide secretarial or executive services for the management.
Personal Requirements:
·        Able to supervise others.
·        Good oral and written communication skills.
·        Fluent in both English and Kiswahili.
·        Good organization skills.
·        Strong computer and Internet skills.
·        Flexibility.
·        Excellent interpersonal skills.
·        Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
·        Sensitive to confidential matters.
Qualification & Experience  
·        1 year or more related experience
·        Minimum: A-level certificate
·        Preferred: Certificate or Diploma in secretarial services, administration, business studies or related courses.

Position:Head of Department Science Teacher
(Teaching Primary Level)

Duty Station: Arusha,Tanzania
The School of St Jude is a charity funded school that provides a FREE, high-quality education to over 1,850 primary and secondary children from the poorest communities in Arusha. We are seeking a creative energetic individual to fill the position abovebased in Arusha, Tanzania at the School of St Jude.
Job Purpose:
To provide a high level of education to the school’s children and help them learn new ideas and concepts to ensure the students meet the required standards of the Tanzanian education system
Key Responsibilities:
  • Raise standards of student attainment and achievement within the whole curriculum area and to monitor and support student progress.
  • Be accountable for student progress and development within the subject area.
  • Develop and enhance the teaching practice of others
  • Ensure the provision of appropriate schemes of work in accordance with the National Curriculum.
  • Ensure that teaching and learning within the classroom is in accordance with the School policy which aims to provide a broad, enriched and inquiry based, student centred curriculum
  • Be accountable for leading, managing and developing the subject/curriculum area.
  • Effectively manage and deploy teaching staff, financial and physical resources within the department.
  • To develop and review syllabuses, resources and schemes of work
  • To develop and monitor marking policies, assessment, teaching and learning strategies in the department in accordance with the School policy
  • To ensure that teachers within the department are providing and marking homework in accordance with the School policy.

Academic Qualification:
§  Diploma in Education with Specialization on Sciences Subject from any recognized College or University.
§  Must have an experience of minimum 3 years.
Skills and Competence:
§  Willingness to work flexible hours
§  Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.
§  Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to motivate student.
§  Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
§  Must have knowledge and experience of computer land and library management.
